The crystal clear water makes for the ideal setting for snorkelling or diving where you can experience the spectacular coral and amazing marine life. Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park is only 15 minutes boat ride from the city and is a must for all visitors. The pristine beaches at the Nexus Resort and at the Shangri-La Rasa Ria seem to go on forever and are the ideal choice for a lazy holiday in the sun.

Culture

There is so much to explore in the vibrant city of Kota Kinabalu. Although it is a modern and bustling metropolis, Kota Kinabalu also has retained much of its traditional charm. The night markets offer a great way to meet the local people and put your bargaining skills to the test as you haggle over the vast array of souvenirs. To have a real Borneo experience, take the boat trip to a heritage village where you can see the Bajau way of life which has barely changed in the past 2 centuries.
